Gotham Knights gear also alters the appearance of equipped characters, allowing players to change the look of their heroes and unlocking new transmog options to create the player’s desired style. This is another reason why collecting gear is so valuable in the game.
How To Get Legendary Gear
In order to acquire Legendary Gear players are going to need to hit the streets of Gotham City and gather plenty of clues. Premeditated Crimes are one of the best sources of gear in the game, and players will need to gain access to “Very Hard” difficulty Premeditated Crimes before Legendary Gear can be acquired. These are unlocked after Detective Montoya asks to speak with the group about Gotham’s Most Wanted.
Very Hard difficulty Crimes feature powerful enemies in large quantities, with Gotham’s Most Wanted targets able to spawn in them too. This means that players will have to take on some very difficult threats, but these Premeditated Crimes are also the only place where legendary gear can drop. On defeating a Gotham’s Most Wanted target they drop incredibly rare crafting materials along with blueprints for legendary gear.
It’s worth noting that the game can be cheated into giving players additional opportunities to farm legendary gear like this by using a very simple trick. After defeating the Most Wanted Target and grabbing the loot, players can quit back to the main menu without finishing the Premeditated Crime, and then reload the game. This will reset the crime, spawning a new Most Wanted Target, while allowing players to keep their valuable loot. This can be repeated as long as there are still Most Wanted Targets available, allowing players to farm tons of legendary gear blueprints and the materials needed to create the gear.
Another way of getting legendary gear is by completing challenges for The Watch and claiming their rewards, though this can take a bit longer to pay off. Nonetheless, it remains a viable method of acquiring legendary gear given enough time and effort.
Gotham Knights is available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
