One puzzle that may have players scratching their heads is the Floor Plate Puzzle from Case 4.2 (Orchard Hotel mission). Fortunately, this isn’t the most difficult puzzle in Gotham Knights since the solution is a little more evident than players think.
Clues To Solve The Orchard Hotel Puzzle
Inside the room with the four pressure plates, players will also see four different paintings of Gotham City landmarks and the date they were built underneath the painting. Now players need to remember these dates and step on the pressure plate corresponding to each landmark based on when they were built (from oldest to newest).
The solution would be 1836, 1841, 1842, and 1877. So, now players will need to match the buildings on the painting with that of the statues located in the middle of the room. Players will also notice that each statue has a corresponding Court of Owl’s symbol, which is a bit of a hint of whom the Gotham Knights will need to confront later on in the mission. Stepping on the wrong pressure plate won’t hurt the player (like other puzzles), but will reset the puzzle.
Orchard Hotel Puzzle Solution
The first pressure plate players will need to step on is the one with the symbol of an owl spreading its wings.
The second pressure plates players must step on is the one that has a symbol of what looks like an erupting volcano. It’s located directly northeast of the previous pressure plate.
The third pressure plate has a symbol of a talon and is located to the left of the previous pressure plate (if the player is facing the pressure plate).
The fourth pressure plate players must step on is the one with the symbol of an owl’s face. Upon stepping on this final pressure plate, a secret door will open and players can continue with the main mission.
Gotham Knights is available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
