If anything, now that fans know Grand Theft Auto 6 is real and in development, it seems as though supposed leaks and rumors about the game have increased in volume. A few days ago, a massive leak about GTA 6 made some big claims about the game’s story, setting, and more. Now, another potential leak has been spotted online via an alleged trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6.

The trailer itself wasn’t found in a video form on Twitter, but instead user GTA 6 NEWS AND LEAKS posted what appeared to be a screenshot of the beginning of a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. Allegedly, this trailer was up on Rockstar’s YouTube channel, obviously hidden away from public viewing, and has since been taken down, as shown by the second screenshot posted to Twitter. GTA 6 NEWS AND LEAKS claims that they didn’t take these photos themselves, and that someone sent them the screenshots via DM.
Initially, this trailer leak seems like it cannot be true. This is mostly due to the fact that the screenshot allegedly featuring the trailer shows the ESRB rating for Grand Theft Auto 6. Usually, a game is rated by boards like the ESRB fairly shortly before release. Considering even the most optimistic people in the gaming community have said that Grand Theft Auto 6 is likely to release some time in either 2024 or 2025, it seems that this leak is almost certainly fake.
However, despite the likelihood of this leaked trailer being fake, there is a possibility that Rockstar has something lined up for its fans. Currently, there are rumors floating around the internet that a Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal is coming in early July, and prominent leaker Tom Henderson has also stated a company will show off a big game in the same month. It seems gamers will just have to wait and see what happens.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is in development.
