Now that Gotham Knights has a new release date scheduled for October 25, 2022, it was only a matter of time before new information was shared. Yesterday, it was announced that details of some sort would be revealed for characters Nightwing and Red Hood. These two characters have not had any explicit gameplay shown beforehand, so it was a tease that fans were certainly excited for. Today, that tease has been revealed as an official gameplay presentation centered around Nightwing and Red Hood....

Gotham Knights is the new standalone Batman game developed by WB Games Montreal, disconnected from the popular Arkham series of games. A lot has changed in the PC gaming space since WB Montreal’s last game, Batman: Arkham Origins, released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013. Huge strides have been made in ray tracing, resolution upscaling technology, and rasterization speed with the introduction of new consoles and graphics cards throughout the years....

Launched in 2001, Gothic is widely regarded as one of the most iconic turn-of-the-century CRPGs. THQ Nordic gauged public interest in a Gothic remake with a playable teaser released via Steam in late 2019. The publisher officially greenlit the project two and a half years ago, and Alkimia has been gradually growing its team ever since. If it’s pedigree that gamers are after then few look further than the granddaddy of the genre, Gran Turismo. With Froza 5 showing off what can be done on a new-generation console, Gran Turismo 6 is giving the PlayStation 3 a proper send off. What the game doesn’t have in new-fangled hardware, it is making up with over 1,200 cars, 33 locations and 71 layouts. With some feeling like the series last installment was lacking and with Gran Turismo 6 also coming under fire from fans for including expensive microtransactions, the game has plenty to overcome....

The Psychic Readers Network, which holds the rights to the Miss Cleo persona, accuses Rockstar of unfairly making bank off of the famous character. It goes without saying that Grand Theft Auto 5’s achievements are no small feats. After earning so much praise, it’s unsurprising that Rockstar has chosen to rest on its laurels, reveling in GTA 5’s success, rather than moving on to the next game in the series right away. One wonders, however, just how long Rockstar Games is willing to take its time on the next Grand Theft Auto game. The studio keeps remaking and re-releasing Grand Theft Auto 5 for multiple consoles, and fans are starting to get tired of it....

Uploading a texture pack to Nexus Mods a couple of days ago, a user has tasked themselves with fixing some of the visuals in the Grand Theft Auto remasters, specifically in San Andreas, with the addition of 85 brand-new textures that go towards making it look a lot better. As it stands, the mod, which is called “Project Texture Overhaul” and is a work-in-progress, seems to address some of the more obvious issues with the graphics, with the downloadable pack containing high quality, 4K textures for the main roads, pavements, as well as other surrounding ground aspects, such as dirt, grass and rocks....

However, Gotham Knights’ best feature, its multiple player protagonists, may undercut itself. The game’s greatest marketing point could also cause some of the greatest hurdles in its development, which WB Games Montreal will need to overcome to make the title a hit on the next-gen consoles. His non-lethal guns, stocky build, and unique mystical powers set him apart from the rest of the members, and more importantly, his fighting style is the furthest away from Batman’s....

Of course, it’s easy to want to know more about these games. For example, perhaps the biggest thing is an actual release date which hasn’t come yet and may not come for a while. However, it seems one developer has narrowed “2022” down some by accidentally leaking Gotham Knights’ release window. A thread on the small, but growing Gotham Knights subreddit called attention to the gear menu shown in the recent Gotham Knights gameplay trailer. In a derogatory claim, Reddit user AdZealousideal6959 said that they “hate” Gotham Knights’ gear menu because it looks like it’s “from a mobile game.” The Reddit user didn’t elaborate on their claim. They only provided an image taken from the trailer showing the gear menu and Nightwing’s equipment and gear scores....

Players worried about Gotham Knights’ iteration of the titular metropolis shouldn’t be overly concerned, however, according to recent interview with the developers. Speaking with Game Informer, the game’s Executive Producer Fleur Marty and Game Director Geoff Ellenor went into some length on how the team is making this game’s Gotham the best version of the city yet. News broke a few days ago about the listing for Gotham Knights on the PlayStation Store, claiming that the game would come with four-player co-op when played online. However, it would seem that WB Games Montreal never intended for this to be the amount of players able to jump into missions together, either local or online.
